This project satisfied our clients’ ambition to create usable outdoor space in their sloping backyard. After clearing the existing top layer of grass and soil we installed the first few layers of the L-shaped seating walls and backfilled 18” of material to level out the area.

For this project, we utilized Techo-Bloc Eva Shale Grey for the interior of the patio, Techo-Bloc Blu 60 Slab Slate in Onyx Black for the contrasting border, and Belgard Weston Untumbled (Rio) for the walls and fire pit. To allow for easy access to the back half of the yard, we emplaced two 4’ wide Castle Buff Steps.

When installation was complete we graded out the surrounding yard and finished with top soil, grass seed, and straw to promote seed germination.
