Sometimes the most impactful outdoor spaces are defined by clean lines and smart simplicity.

This two-tiered Timbertech deck in French White Oak composite brought a dated, underutilized backyard to life with a design that’s as functional as it is sharp. The lower tier provides a casual lounging and grilling zone, while the upper tier creates a distinct seating area anchored by a custom built-in bench — giving the space a natural flow between everyday use and relaxed entertaining.
Step lighting integrated into the risers between tiers adds a polished, intentional finish that keeps the deck as inviting after dark as it is during the day. A curved gravel border wraps the lower edge of the deck, creating a clean transition between the composite surface and the existing concrete — a small detail that elevates the overall composition. The French White Oak colorway strikes the perfect balance between warm and contemporary, complementing the brick exterior without competing with it.
Built entirely with low-maintenance composite decking, this project was designed to look great year after year without the upkeep demands of wood.
